The Riber Throw Ropes are an essential piece of safety equipment for any canoe, kayak or water sport enthusiast

The Riber Throw Ropes are an essential piece of safety equipment for any canoe, kayak or water sport enthusiast. This item is designed to be low in cost and high in features. Each Riber Throw Rope has a reflective strip on the front and contains highly visible buoyant rope. The instructions for use are conveniently printed on the reverse of the bag so anyone can use it. The high quality rope is approximately 8mm thick. The Riber Throw Ropes give you extra peace of mind when out on the water not only for you but others around you as well. We always recommend paddlers have a Riber Throw Rope in their kit bag as a safety precaution.

  • We ask customers for their phone number as it is required by our couriers when we’re shipping large items such as kayaks, canoes or paddles. All contact telephone numbers are only used for delivery purposes and are destroyed after use. Failure to provide a contact telephone number at the time of purchase may result in delivery delays.
  • We aim to get your order shipped out on the same day if your purchase is completed before 10am, if not it will be the following day. We pay for a 24 hour delivery service but due to the large size of some of our boats there is a chance of delay. This can also depend on your location and other external factors such as bad weather, bank holidays and high demand periods like Christmas. For this reason we would always recommend allowing a few days for your item to arrive before contacting us but if you haven’t received your item within this time frame please get in touch with us. Please note deliveries of boats can take place up until 6pm weekdays only. We cannot offer weekend delivery.
  • Smaller items are usually dispatched the same day. All Royal Mail and Parcelforce parcels will come in your normal post and FedEx deliver weekdays only up until 6pm.
  • Your order will be updated with tracking information as soon as we dispatch and have the relevant information. However unfortunately we cannot offer tracking on larger items such as canoes and kayaks.

  1. Mr G l Swain

    Exactly what I wanted

  2. Sleepyhead

This product is extremely good value, so why only three stars? Free delivery was fast, but it was so well packed that it was almost impossible to open. It arrived in several layers of sticky black polythene sheet held in place by several metres of Sellotape type strip. It was impossible to break into with scissors, and I had to resort to using a craft knife, which resulted in me piecing the throw bag. Then when I started trying to cut the polythene sheet, it gummed up my scissors. Next, the instructions on the throw bag are confusing. It says: Hold firmly the plastic loop end of the rope in one hand and the bag. using the central webbing in your ‘throwing hand’ – pull out of the bag approx. 3-4 feet of rope and then throw towards tar get in a smooth underhand motion. (Their punctuation) The only trouble is, there are two plastic loops one inside and one outside the bag. Which do you throw, and which do you hold? I presumed it was the one not attached to the throw bag that you held on to. On testing, 25m of rope is of questionable value unless you need the bag to be carried down tide, because you’re unlikely to be able to throw the bag more than 15m. That said, it’s an extremely valuable source of floating rope. Floating rope of this kind (about 8mm unstretched, 7mm stretched) is about £1.60/m in a chandlery and £1.00/m on line, so your getting the rope in the 25m version at 60p/m. I bought mine to refurbish a life ring with greatly sunlight damaged existing rope, so 25m was about right. I intend to buy another for use as just a throw line. I’m unsure yet whether to purchase 15 or 25m; £2 for the extra 10m is such a bargain.

  9. Hoarsefly

I good compact little throwbag. Well made, robust and easily visible. It throws well and is easy to repack. Very good value

  10. Byanagennaon

great product for its price. 7mm rope is a little thin for hauling big weights but don’t do that very often. Bag is good to throw and to re throw when full of water. rope on it’s own is a little more difficult to throw, but with the bag that’s not an issue. Really quick delivery. Thank you
