10 New Canoe Trails Unveiled In The UK
We have written comprehensive guides on where you can paddle in the UK as well as the top places in the UK to paddle your canoe, and now, thanks to British Canoeing, there are 10 new and exciting trails to explore on your canoe, kayak or SUP.
The ten new canoe trails across the country are displayed in a brand new eye-catching format, that they hope will encourage more people to get out and explore the UK’s tranquil waters with their friends and family.
This new format will eventually be rolled out across the remaining 110 trails, as well as trails that have been yet to be added, marking an exciting change in the way people can access information on where to paddle within the British Isles.
Within the information on the trails you will find vital information such as the best parking points, toilets, pubs and cafés, portage points and trail length in miles as well as the difficulty level.
Amazingly the trails also come with geographically accurate illustrated maps, a thorough detailed written description that includes licensing and membership information for each specific waterway and access to a GPX file where people can download the trail straight to their sat nav devices for ultimate accuracy when paddling said trail.
Ben Seal, Places to Paddle Manager at British Canoeing said:
“We are really excited to launch these ten new canoe trails and hope that they will offer even more inspiration to paddlers to get out and go on a canoeing adventure somewhere new – or possibly rediscover a local hidden gem! The team at British Canoeing are really proud of the new look.”
